amazed
An amazing thing happened a few days ago!
A prayer was answered.
I received an e-mail from a long lost friend, a classmate from seminary, a Susan Verghese (wearing the saree in pic), the youngest student in our class, a Malaysian from the Marthoma church. The last time I met with her and other classmates was in a Kuala Lumpur Kentucky Fried Chicken joint. She was working in the U.S.I.S. (United states information service). Then some time later I received an invitation to her wedding, which I could not attend. And I lost touch with her after that as she went off to the USA with her husband, Richard.
A fortnight ago, “Susanâ€, “an old friendâ€, commented on a recent blog post on blogpastor.net….and I wondered if it was, but couldn’t believe it was her. So I emailed and asked, “Are you THE Susan Verghese?â€
She replied positive…..and I was so glad it was she!
And she “stumbled†onto my blog just by doing a search on my name, and now reads regularly, now just my blog but also Bolivian Beat (my other seminary classmate)!
Now I am asking her,†Do you have a blog? How about sending a pic of husband(who loves trekking and mountains too) and daughter Sara?†Again blogging has proven to be a great way for friends to get in touch and keep in touch.
I was amazed.
