the emerging church
I will be blogging my response to an interesting topic - the emerging church. I heard this pastor in a youth conference a year ago. Dan Kimball is an interesting guy, oozing with charisma, with a cool blonde hairdo, an Elvis Presley with a bigger “curry-puffâ€, intelligent, and clear in his communication. I was impressed. So when I saw his book “The Emerging Churchâ€, I grabbed it, because I have been concerned about the needs of the new generation of young people who have been breathing the air of modernity or post-modernity. Anedectodal evidence and research shows this group can be vulnerable to disillusionment with the church. I need to understand them better, to better contextualize the faith for them.
