2006 review
As I reviewed 2006, I found the highpoints for the year were the Focusing Leaders Mentoring course that Abe Sim and I attended. A two days retreat followed by 4 or 5 half-day sessions of workshop and discussions led by Pastor Patrick and Seng Chor, supplemented by several individual coaching sessions with James Creasman. It was a solid time of processing our experiences and reflecting on what God has wired, designed us for. It has clarified and deepened and reassured me of his calling to me as a shepherd/teacher and given me a greater sense of the contribution I am to make for his kingdom.
The other would be a retreat I had in Chiangmai where I felt the Lord’s love and appreciation for the thirty-over years of putting my life on the altar of sacrifice.
So it actually mirrored what God was doing in the church: consolidation.
