weekend inspiring thots

this feels weird

May 23rd, 2007

“People who are tagged should write a blogpost of 6 weird things about them as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says ‘you are tagged’ in their comments and tell them to read your blog.”

I got tagged by ‘an old man in the winter of his life and so I have to write six weird things about myself. By the way doing this in itself is pretty “weird” for me to do. But anyway just to be sporting….six peculiar, odd things about blogpastor:

  1. Quite often, at work, I do not wear any socks with my shoes.
  2. I go to the barber not when my hair is long but when it gets too curly.
  3. I have no problems with public speaking but can feel shy in a crowd.
  4. I was given an Indian nickname by my bible college friends: “Kandasamy”
  5. I read plenty but do not finish many books.
  6. I read my newspapers back to front.

And now the six people I’d like to tag and tell me about their weirdness are:

1. Bolivian Beat

2. Currahee101

3. Erikanissa

4. looxie

5. darrylboy

6. Philosophy of Joel.

Hey SP
I also read newspaper from back to front..haha…I too have many books, like to collect them, even some were from your collections when you donated them to us in church, but have yet to read plenty, many times struggle to keep to one book, I have this habit of reading a few books (ionly from the front, & not finishing them in order) at one time. I recently just managed to scrap through (after half a year!!) Tuesdays with Morrie, phew…..I am now trying to stay on Sue Monk Kidd’s 2 books which I bought in church. Somehow many times I resisted going to SKS bookstores as I was afraid I may pick up MORE books coldstoraged on the shelves. However, I have no qualms about buying many worship albums, CDs or DVDs at one time!

Thanks for the tag.

Here goes,

1. I collect fossils.

2. I love performing magic illusions - especially those of the mentalism genre (mind reading, sending thoughts, psychokinesis, bending of spoons, and forks, sending electric shocks, moving/stopping watches with my mind, etc) All tricks of course.

3. I hardly eat rice in Australia. Mostly noodles or spaghetti.

4. I like wearing toe socks.

5. I find read fiction books a waste of time, but I enjoy watching movies.

6. I love buying and selling things online.

Hi Kenny, There is a very inspiringfilm on now titled “Amazing Grace” featuring William Wliberforce who in the 19th Century championed against slavery and documents his journey to free Englang of slavery. This film is produced by Walden Pictures the same company that brought us The Chronicles of Narnia.

Focus on the Family called me two weeks back asking for our support for the above film. Perhaps we can publicise it a bit in the bulletin.

Currahee101’s ink above is not working properly. The URL should have 2 Rs as well.
