“Are you troubled about it?” he asked about the many agespots on my face. “No, not really,” sounding macho,”…. but I wouldn’t mind getting rid of them.” So I was given some cream to numb my facial skin, and lying on a bed, with dark goggles over my eyes, Dr Chee Yew Wen, my cousin’s son, started to expertly laser all those unseemly dark spots into “burnt offerings”, and it felt only like ant-bites but it stank. He had excellent bedside manners, and conversed with me, and I got distracted as we talked. He asked, “How long have you been in full-time ministry?” I replied, “Since 1980, and how old were you then?” And he said, “About nine”. He’s young but he’d already been about eight years in this medical and dermatology practice and he and his partner have five clinics under “Wen & Weng Medical Group” (click for website) a multi-disciplinary medical group.
After treatment, my spots got conspicuously black(my wife counted about 55) and the scabs came off during the fourth and fifth day. Oh the wonders of modern technology and medical skill! I have some before and after photos but I don’t want to post them and deface my blog. I am amazed at how ‘clean’ my face looks now.
Now I need more hair! Will laser rx help? (haha)
