Again, I must apologise for my negligence in writing blog posts. Why this lethargy? I cannot precisely pinpoint. I can only pray for God’s grace and inspiration. Yesterday, I decided to try a solution. Maybe if I stopped updating my Instagam account, it may compel me to express myself in my blog. Let us see if this works.
I receive two messages from my overseas friends. One is sad news. The other a happy development.
Delivered from danger
From my friend in Nepal I heard a story of God’s deliverance from danger. The protests against corruption in the government of Nepal turned violent. My friend gathered his young family and travelled to Pokara to escape the dangers. There his family was holed up in a hotel because of an army curfew. The calm did not last long. Other hotes nearby were burning, and soon it was his hotel. By the providence of God his whole family managed to get out of the hotel before it caught on fire and rioters rushed in. Praise the Lord he was safe and managed to retrieve his important documents and family stuff. Do pray for Nepal. Revival fires are burning, but so too, the fierce fires of anger over deep rooted corruption. Lord, have mercy on Nepal, and establish peace and righteousness in this land that is precious in your sight. Let nothing stand in the way of your redemptive purposes for the Nepali people. Amen.

My book translated into Myanmar language
The other message was good news from the founder of a Bible School in Yangon, Myanmar. My home church had worked with him for many years. Recently, I requested him to translate my book into Myanmese so that it could bless and strengthen the faith of Christians and village pastors in Myanmar. He did a translation and together with some proofreading help from a church member, Namnwe and her sister, the work is finally published. He printed 540 copies and he prayed for God’s blessings on the books. I used proceeds from sale of my books to pay for the printing and he in turn can sell or give it away as he sees fit, and keeps whatever proceeds as financial support for his young and growing family. I must say it gives me great pleasure to do this, to lay treasure in heaven, in a practical and life-giving way.
