I have not used Apple’s iMovie application for ages. I forgot all the steps. Consequently, many of my photos lay waiting for a catalyst to stir me up to learn all over again. That catalyst was the terrible haze that kept me at home for most of the day for weeks.
I watched two short YouTube videos about using iMovie for beginners. Then I looked at my external hard disk and fished out my hundreds of digital photos from years back. I began making video slides, referring to Google whenever I was stuck.
I was elated each time I managed to upload a video on my YouTube channel.
It gave me great pleasure to complete my one-month visit to Matthew’s family in Tucson, Arizona. As I went over the many photos, my heart was flooded with memories that carried feelings of joy, sorrow and love. We had a great time with the family, especially our grandkids, Chloe and Claire.
The sorrowful part was that my wife was having persistent back pain. Nevertheless, we saw the loving support of our family, especially Hannah, our daughter-in-law. We were thankful for God’s faithfulness and preservation throughout the stay there.
Looking at those Tucson photos in 2023/4, I noticed how the grandkids have blossomed compared to when we visited them a few months ago in Bordeaux, France. Physically, Chloe has shot up suddenly like bamboo and is as tall as Jenny. She is at that developmental stage where she is growing in personhood as an individual. We saw a growth spurt in Claire with reading and Math skills.
Here is the YouTube video of our four-week visit to Matthew’s family:
